Job description

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, in partnership with an industrial coatings facility in Grand Rapids, is looking to add a spray technician to their team!

Spray Technician Summary:

  • 2nd shift: 2p-10:30p
  • $20-22/hr (pending experience) plus $1 shift premium
  • Overtime on some Saturdays as needed
  • Applies customer specified coatings by hand, electrostatic, and automatic techniques while performing the following duties

Spray Technician Description:

  • Follows assigned production schedule and adheres to customer and quality control specifications
  • Lifts and loads trays/racks/windows and moves product by physical and mechanical means
  • Mixes coatings and solvents to formula specifications
  • Operates hand spray guns, bulk and tumble, and automatic equipment (ie turbine bells, electrostatics and robotics)
  • Enters amounts sprayed into manufacturing software
  • Records numbers and types of non-conforming products
  • May use inventory system to request supplies
  • Collaborates with team members to ensure production schedules are met and work instructions are followed
  • Keeps work area and equipment clean, organized, and maintained
  • Disposes of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes as required.

Spray Technician Qualifications:

  • Fast paced manufacturing experience required
  • Spray technician experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of computers required
  • Strong attention to details
