Hiring Range: $15.00-$18.75 based on experience
Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Operations at the Wintrust Crossroads Sports Complex, the Operations Attendant will be responsible for a variety of duties dependent upon the need for the day, ensuring participants, members, and/or guests have an excellent experience in every aspect.
Qualifications:
Must be able to uphold and enforce facility and Park District's Polices and Procedures and possess effective verbal and written communication skills. Has the ability to develop and maintain productive and cooperative relationships with District staff, other agencies, volunteers, and the public. Individuals must be able to provide quality customer service by demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills while being committed to the safety and well-being of others.
Pre-requisites:







  • Manual labor; must be able to lift fifty pounds waist high
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours
  • Ability to stand/walk/squat/stoop/bend for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in diverse climate and environment
  • Understanding of scoreboard operations and retractable athletic equipment


Primary Responsibilities:
This person's duties shall include, but not be limited to:
1. Sports Complex:


  • Ensure all necessary equipment is readily available and safe for use for events
  • Set up and breakdown facilities according to event requirements
  • Maintain stock levels of equipment and supplies
  • Monitor all events within the facility
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the facility
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members on issues and updates
  • Respond to incidents, accidents, injuries, and altercations, completing necessary paperwork
  • Complete special projects, daily assignments, and other tasks assigned
  • Provide support for food and beverage and maintenance departments
