DEPARTMENT: FOOD & BEVERAGE

REPORTS TO: FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER

STATUS: PART-TIME (NON-EXEMPT)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Cook will provide quality service as well as consistent products. This position will assist the kitchen staff with the daily upkeep of the facility's kitchen(s) in Catering and Concessions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Cook and prepare food
  • Serves food in proper pre-determined portion sizes and at the correct temperature
  • Maintains appearance of all equipment and serving counters
  • Maintains inventory in the stock room
  • Cleans kitchen area before and after business hours
  • Scrubs, sanitizes, and stores pots and pans, utensils, and dishes
  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Assists in venue distribution/warehouse operations including inventory, receiving, purchase order tracking, clean-up, transfers, and minor equipment maintenance

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understand and follow both oral and written instructions
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to communicate in a positive, friendly manner with patrons
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours) and regular attendance is necessary
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills and be a team player

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • The employee is exposed to cleaning chemicals that must be handled with extreme caution
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in outside weather conditions and can be exposed to hot, wet, and humid conditions
  • Significant standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling
  • Will be required to operate a computer
  • Facility has intermittent noise
