Job Description:

Direct the activities and operations of the College's Regional Sports Center, the Rochester Regional Stadium, and Campus Grounds including operation and scheduling, contracts, invoicing, coordinating, soliciting, modifying, developing and implementing new policies, procedures and guidelines, and promoting of events and functions of the facility. Supervision of site coordinators, student workers, maintenance and other event staff. Works closely with the RCTC Schedulers, RCTC Athletic/PHED Departments, Local Schools, Rochester Amateur Sports Commission, and the Rochester Park and Recreation Department to ensure College and community needs are met. Acts as a sporting event's ambassador for RCTC in the local and regional community. Position is 40 hours per week but no fixed schedule.

Salary Range: 30.55 - 45.92 USD Hourly

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Facilities Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or a combination of education and experience in both indoor and outdoor athletics/sports activities.
  • Ability to plan, implement, schedule, organize, coordinate and promote a diverse number of activities to a variety of participants.
  • Working knowledge of sports equipment and functions.
  • Strong computer skills, including the ability to perform functions using Microsoft products to produce memos, correspondence and reports in a efficient and timely manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (both oral and written) and the ability to present information to a variety of individuals and groups.
  • Experience in management and/or supervision.
  • Possession of a Class 'D' drivers license required.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Masters in Sports Management or related field.
  • Three to five years of supervisory experience.
  • Previous facilities operations and maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of administrative practices, procedures and methods used in operating/directing facility events.

This position will have varying hours to ensure effective operations during both core campus hours as well as possible evening and weekend events.
