Job description

BROOKLYN WINE & SPIRITS SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Build the Territory. Own the Results.

VOS Selections is looking for an experienced, highly motivated wine and spirits salesperson to take ownership of Brooklyn; one of the most exciting, and competitive, beverage markets in the country. We are not looking for someone to maintain a route. We are looking for someone to build one.

This is an opportunity for someone who knows how to open doors, build relationships, close business, and turn a territory into their own.

There is significant upside for the person who earns it.

THE ROLE

  • Take ownership of Brooklyn and aggressively build the territory
  • Drive distribution, placements, and depletions
  • Open new accounts, defend existing placements, and close the deal
  • Develop deep, productive relationships with the best restaurants, wine bars, retailers, and buyers in the market
  • Identify opportunities
  • Represent our producers and VOS Selections as though your name were on the door
  • Sell a serious, distinctive portfolio of wines and spirits that commands respect — and requires real selling skill to move

This is not order-taking. We want someone who knows how to sell.

WHO YOU ARE

You have experience in wine and/or spirits sales — wholesale, retail, restaurants, or some combination — and you can demonstrate that you've produced results.

You are:

  • Highly knowledgeable about wine and/or spirits
  • Persuasive, confident, and comfortable selling premium products
  • Relentless about prospecting and opening new accounts
  • Self-directed, accountable, and motivated by results
  • Competitive by nature — you track your numbers because you want to beat them
  • Organized and Disciplined, managing a demanding calendar and following through
  • Comfortable with early mornings, long days in the market, and a full schedule of account visits
  • Passionate about fine wine, spirits, restaurants, and serious food culture

Most importantly, you want to build something.

WHO WE ARE

You may recognize VOS Selections from our recent win at The Supreme Court challenging the punitive tariffs—but our reputation was earned long before that. VOS Selections is a premier importer and distributor of world-class wines, spirits, sake, and non-alcoholic beverages. For over 40 years and three generations, we've built one of the industry's most respected portfolios by staying true to who we are: a family company guided by integrity, transparency, and respect for the land. We work exclusively with small family farms, winemakers, and distillers who share those values, with a willingness to take chances on exceptional producers and regions before anyone else discovers them. Our motto is Fearless Importing.

We're looking for a salesperson who brings that same attitude to the market.

THE OPPORTUNITY

A real shot at building something, with one of the strongest artisanal portfolios in the market behind you, and pay that reflects what you actually bring in — the more you sell, the more you earn.

If you read this and felt something, terrific! Apply and tell us why you're the one who should have Brooklyn.
