Job description

The Sales Fulfillment Coordinator (SFC) will help manage the ingredient business for organic herbs and spices, driving sales primarily through existing customer relationships. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, order management, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure seamless service and product delivery. Additionally, the SFC will provide limited support the expansion of the company’s ingredient customer base through strategic outreach, engagement and new business development efforts.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Manage current Ingredient customer business orders of organic herbs and spices.
  • Once fully functional in the role, assist in new business through proactive sales activities, including trade shows, email outreach, marketing campaigns, phone calls, promotions, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Handle daily customer interactions via email and phone to identify needs, provide relevant documentation, process sample requests, and secure orders.
  • Assist in basket building and seize the opportunity to increase order size when providing price quotes or processing orders.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Customer Service, Warehouse, and Quality Assurance, to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Exercise a high level of autonomy in managing existing accounts.
  • Execute contract program orders on time.
  • Analyze sales data to forecast trends, review historic customer sales, to improve short-term sales growth opportunities.
  • Support monthly account sales reviews with management assessing progress and refine sales strategies.
  • Some travel may be requested, typically 1-2 trips per year lasting up to four days, though that may vary

What You'll Bring (Qualifications)

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Customer Service or CPG sales.
  • Proven track record of exceeding customer expectations and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as experience with ERP and CRM systems, such as NetSuite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, negotiation, and planning skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

Good-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERP Systems: NETSUITE, SAP
  • Advanced Excel Skills: VLookup, data manipulation
  • Previous Experience in Spice Industry, Ingredient Manufacturing Sales
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain Concepts
  • Project Coordination Experience
