Location: Elkhart, IN (On-site)

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm


Responsibilities

Human Resource

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and workforce planning initiatives
  • Partner with leadership to support organizational growth, staffing plans, and employee development
  • Manage employee relations, performance management, corrective actions, and workplace investigations
  • Administer compensation programs, benefits, 401(k), leaves of absence, and workers' compensation processes
  • Maintain HRIS records, reporting, and data integrity
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee communications


Safety & Compliance

  • Lead workplace safety initiatives and OSHA compliance program
  • Develop and maintain safety policies, training programs, and documentation
  • Conduct facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Investigate workplace incidents and implement corrective action
  • Manage OSHA recordkeeping and support regulatory inspection
  • Promote a strong safety culture through employee engagement and training


Leadership & Continuous Improvem

  • Track and report HR and safety metrics, including turnover, hiring activity, training completion, attendance, and safety performance
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, employee engagement, retention, and workplace safe
  • Support training, recognition, and employee development initiatives across the organization


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Safety Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, compensation, benefits, leave administration, and HR best practices
  • Experience administering OSHA programs and workplace safety initiatives
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems; experience with Paylocity is a plus
  • Experience supporting workers' compensation, ADA accommodations, and return-to-work programs
  • Professional certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus


Preferred Background

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, packaging, consumer products, food & beverage, industrial, or other production-based environments
