As a member oftheglobal EHSS team, the Sr. Manager, Carbon / Energy Management will play a critical role in advancing DePuy Synthes' environmental sustainability strategy by leadingenterpriselevelcarbon emissions and energy management initiatives. This role partners closely with global manufacturing, supply chain, facilities, procurement, and sustainability teams to drive measurable reductions in greenhouse gas emissions,optimizeenergy performance, and support regulatory and voluntary reporting commitments. This position offers the opportunity to influence strategy, enable operational change, and deliver meaningful environmental impact across a global orthopedic business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of carbon and energy management strategies aligned with DePuy Synthes sustainability goals and business priorities.

  • Ownenterpriselevelgreenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, including Scope 1, 2, and relevant Scope 3 emissions, ensuring data quality, governance, and audit readiness.

  • Partner with manufacturing sites and facilities teams toidentify, prioritize, and implement energy efficiency and decarbonization projects.

  • Establish performance metrics, targets, and dashboards to track progress on energy use,emissionsreductions, and cost savings.

  • Support external and internal sustainability reporting requirements, including regulatory disclosures and voluntary frameworks.

  • Collaboratecrossfunctionallyto integrate carbon and energy considerations into capital planning, sourcing, and operationaldecisionmaking.

  • Monitor emerging regulations, standards, and best practices related to climate, energy, and environmental management, translating requirements into actionable plans.

  • Influence and educate stakeholders through clear communication, change management, and governance forums.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degreerequiredin Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Energy Management, ora relateddiscipline.

  • Master's degree (e.g., Environmental Management, Sustainability, Engineering, MBA) preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Typically requires8-10years of progressive experiencein sustainability, energy management, environmental programs, or related operational roles.
