Job description

This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.

How would you like to shape the future of energy cost management for one of America’s leading telecommunications providers? At Spectrum, our Energy Cost Management Analysts prepare, analyze and interpret financial data to uncover opportunities for improvement. Your expertise will help drive smarter decisions and support business growth, making a measurable impact on our organization’s efficiency and performance.


How You’ll Make an Impact   

  • Prepare, record, analyze and report on the energy costs associated with Spectrum’s products and services
  • Identify and implement cost savings opportunities through strategic financial analysis
  • Assist in tracking and reviewing renewable energy projects, including their cost, RECs and performance
  • Review invoicing and reporting for renewable energy project contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions
  • Collaborate with third parties such as utility tariff departments and service partners to achieve company goals
  • Support and apply the strategic plan for the Energy Management Department aligned with Spectrum’s vision
  • Adapt to shifting priorities while maintaining focus on broader business objectives

Working Conditions   

  • Hybrid schedule with four in-office days weekly

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum   

Required Qualifications   

Education  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Energy or a related field

Experience   

  • 2+ years of general knowledge in how to analyze electricity cost
  • 1+ years working with an electric utility, energy supplier, project developer or energy-intensive company

Skills   

  • Proficient in reading, writing and understanding English
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems under pressure
  • Prioritization and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access

Preferred Qualifications

Experience

  • Industry-related Accounting or Energy work experience
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting energy generation data, PPAs, green tariffs and wholesale energy market data
