Specification Sales Engineer – Civil / Infrastructure

Central Texas (Austin / San Antonio) | Regional Travel | Confidential Client


We’re working with a growing organization in the civil infrastructure space looking to add a Specification Sales Engineer to support expansion across Central Texas.

This is a field-facing, relationship-driven role focused on working directly with engineers, developers, and contractors to influence projects early and drive adoption of engineered solutions. It’s a strong fit for someone who enjoys being involved in the front end of projects and building long-term relationships across the market.


Position Overview

The Specification Sales Engineer will focus on project development, technical support, and early-stage engagement across the territory. This individual will play a key role in identifying opportunities, influencing design decisions, and supporting projects through execution.


Key Responsibilities

• Build relationships with engineers, developers, contractors, and key stakeholders across the region

• Identify and pursue new infrastructure-related opportunities

• Support early-stage project development through technical discussions and solution positioning

• Review plans and provide input to help guide project direction

• Lead presentations, meetings, and ongoing engagement with design teams

• Manage pipeline activity and maintain visibility across opportunities

• Work cross-functionally with internal teams to support project execution


Qualifications

• Background in Civil Engineering, Construction, or related field

• 2+ years of experience in technical sales, civil, or infrastructure-related roles

• Familiarity with site development, drainage, utilities, or similar project types

• Ability to read and discuss construction or civil plans

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Self-driven and comfortable managing a regional territory
