Management Analyst III - Special Emphasis Program Auditor

Position Summary / Objective:

The auditor is part-time on call and available to attend NAVSEA functional and certification audits as available. Travel to Naval activities and private companies to perform audits is required.

Essential functions:

  • Navigate various travel environments, including airports, hotels, automobile traffic, weather conditions, etc.
  • Reading, typing and MS Teams software navigation

Required education and experience:

  • Minimum 10 yrs of direct execution of Navy Special Emphasis Program work and analysis or equivalent level of experience
  • Expert level knowledge of Fly-By-Wire software systems and processes

Preferred education and experience:

  • Previous experience performing NAVSEA functional audits
  • Previous experience performing NAVSEA certification audits

Competencies:

  • Able to provide expertise as an auditor in a variety of NAVSEA audit areas
  • Able to review NAVSEA documents and provide subject matter input and recommendations
  • Ability to access MS Teams to attend company and group meetings.
  • Maintain required annual trainings, both gov and KMS.

Work authorization/security clearance requirements:

An active DoD Secret security clearance.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Excellent listening skills are essential. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs (luggage on travel).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

The typical audit week requires travel on Sunday and return on Friday. The workweek is 8+ hours per day. Some flexibility in hours is allowed to manage overtime. Attendance at prescheduled mandatory meetings is requested as available.

Telework:

  • 100% (except while attending Audits)

Travel:

  • Ability to travel 20% CONUS; potential to travel OCONUS
  • Travel as needed for client audits
