Job description

Job Summary:
SPC Printing Coating Operator's primary responsibility is ensuring the lacquer machines perform correctly.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for daily cleaning and daily, weekly, and monthly routine machine maintenance
  • Start up and shut down of lacquer machines
  • Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.)
  • Verify coating weights
  • Verify adhesion to the substrate
  • Use tools to measure UV energy
  • Perform standard abrasion tests
  • Identify defects and perform any necessary tasks
  • Maintain the lacquer levels in the machines

Performance Expectations (if applicable):
  • Lifting is required of tools and parts with varying weights of 1 to 100 pounds.
  • Standing and climbing on and off the lift truck is required.
  • Bending is required to pick up parts and tools or work multiple times daily.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, and kneel

Experience/Education Requirements:
  • High school graduate or GED preferred
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, or sit for long periods, work in tight spaces, lift and maneuver objects of 50+ pounds
