Job Title: Program Specialist (Coordinator)

Location: Orange, CA (Onsite)

Duration: Up to 6 Months

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM


Job Summary:

We are seeking a Program Specialist (Coordinator) to support the Cultural & Linguistic Services department by coordinating translation, interpretation, and alternative format services for members and providers. This role is responsible for managing vendor relationships, supporting regulatory compliance, processing invoices, and ensuring timely delivery of language access services in a fast-paced healthcare environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate translation, interpretation, and alternative format (Braille, Audio, Large Print) requests.

Schedule and manage face-to-face interpreter services with contracted vendors.

Process vendor invoices accurately and ensure timely payment.

Assist with regulatory reports, audits, surveys, and compliance activities (DHCS, CMS, NCQA).

Research and resolve member grievances related to language service vendors.

Review policies and regulations related to cultural and linguistic services.

Collaborate with internal teams to support departmental goals and projects.

Maintain accurate records and documentation while ensuring excellent customer service.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum 2 years of experience in project coordination, translation services, or interpreter coordination.

Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Cultural & Linguistic Studies, Healthcare, or a related field.

Experience in HMO, Medicare, Medi-Cal/Medicaid, managed care, or healthcare services.

Experience working with culturally diverse populations.

Training or certification in project management, translation, interpretation, or cultural competency.

Bilingual in English and one of the following preferred languages: Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic, Farsi, or Russian.
