CordeValle is seeking a service-driven and highly organized Spa Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our luxury spa. This hands-on leadership position assists with supervising the spa team, coordinating daily operations, maintaining exceptional service standards, and creating memorable experiences for our members and guests.
The Spa Assistant Manager serves as a leader on the floor while remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is warm, professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing guest service, team leadership, scheduling, administrative responsibilities, and operational needs in a luxury hospitality environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Spa Operations & Guest Experience
  • Support the Spa Manager with the daily operation of the spa and ensure a smooth, professional guest experience.
  • Serve as a visible leader and point of contact for members, guests, and spa associates.
  • Welcome and assist members and guests with warmth, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions, requests, concerns, and service recovery situations.
  • Monitor daily appointments, treatment rooms, staffing, and operational flow.
  • Assist the spa front desk as needed, including reservations, check-in and check-out, telephone inquiries, and retail transactions.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, organization, and ambiance throughout the spa.
  • Coordinate with other CordeValle departments to provide seamless member and guest experiences.
Team Leadership
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to Spa Coordinators, therapists, and other spa associates.
  • Help create a positive, professional, and service-focused work environment.
  • Assist with onboarding, training, coaching, and ongoing development of spa associates.
  • Reinforce CordeValle service standards, policies, procedures, and Core Values.
  • Assist with preparing and maintaining employee schedules based on business and operational needs.
  • Help ensure hourly associates receive required meal and rest periods and that breaks are appropriately incorporated into daily and weekly scheduling.
  • Communicate staffing concerns, performance issues, guest feedback, and operational needs to the Spa Manager.
Administrative & Retail Support
  • Assist with spa inventory, product ordering, receiving, stocking, and organization.
  • Monitor retail and professional product levels and communicate replenishment needs.
  • Support spa retail initiatives and encourage associates to provide knowledgeable, guest-focused product recommendations.
  • Assist with daily reports, operational records, appointment information, and other administrative responsibilities.
  • Support department initiatives designed to achieve service, retail, labor, and financial goals.
  • Help maintain accurate and organized records in accordance with CordeValle policies.

Requirements
Required
  • Previous experience in a spa, resort, hotel, private club, wellness, or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Previous supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Exceptional guest service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead by example and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Professional appearance, communication style, and demeanor appropriate for a luxury hospitality environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive guest and employee information with discretion.

WORK SCHEDULE
This is an hourly, non-exempt position. The Spa Assistant Manager must be available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which may include mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
