Job description

Overview:
Premier Pools & Spas, the nation's largest and fastest growing swimming pool company, has an immediate opening for a Construction Phase Scheduler.

Premier Pools & Spas is the largest swimming pool builder in the greater Sacramento region. Proudly serving Sacramento since 1988 and specializing in in-ground swimming pool new construction.

Responsibilities:

Working directly with our Project Managers, Sub-Contractors and Construction Supervisors to schedule phases of construction for all new pool and remodel projects. This includes:

1.      Entering scheduling data into our scheduling software and ensure information is accurate and timely.

2.      Generate work orders for the crews and ensure they are completed or re-scheduled.

3.      Order equipment and/or materials for job-site delivery.

4.      Schedule required inspections with the appropriate building department.

5.      Notify customers of progress payments and amounts as they come due.

6.      Update customers and team members regularly on progress of construction at respective phase of construction

7.      Attend weekly meeting with all staff going over each project under construction and problem solve as a team to keep project moving forward.

8.      Work under strict timelines for construction phase completion to ensure timeliness of construction and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

To be eligible for this position, candidates must have:

1.      Excellent time management and ability to take initiative.

2.      Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel, Google Calendar, and be comfortable learning new software as needed.

3.      Excellent oral and written communication, including phone and email communication. Daily communication will not only be with individual customers, but internally with internal departments.

4.      Ability to quickly learn swimming pool and construction terminology and the ability to explain the process involved for your specific phases of construction.

5.      Strong ability to track and manage multiple projects and their associated work orders at the same time. There is the potential to have over 50 projects at each phase of construction at any time.

6.      Must have a passion for problem solving and be willing to present solutions to team members, management and customers to appropriately resolve any outstanding items.

7.      Must be comfortable talking with customers and deescalating issues through understanding, empathy, and efficiently scheduling construction and work orders while sharing timelines with the customer.

The following would be preferred but not required:

  • 2-5 years of construction scheduling experience
  • Pool industry experience
