Job description

The Leadership Team at Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa is dedicated to providing outstanding customer service in a team-oriented environment. Spa Associates are vital in helping achieve this goal, as they are the first introduction many clients have to Hand & Stone. This is a 25-30 hour per week position, with a competitive hourly wage as well as the opportunity to earn commission. The ideal candidate for this job will possess confidence while selling the Hand & Stone Lifestyle Program, and be able to provide superlative customer service.
The primary duties for our Spa Associates are:

  • Greet all clients as they enter the spa
  • Check clients in and out efficiently and cordially
  • Answer the telephone and manage the appointment book
  • Communicate the needs of clients to the therapists or estheticians
  • Present and sell the Hand & Stone Lifestyle Program to all clients
  • Perform follow-up and appointment confirmation calls to clients
  • Assist with daily spa maintenance tasks, including filing paperwork, doing laundry, and light cleaning and organizing
  • Aid Leadership Team in developing and implementing growth strategies for Hand & Stone
Experience and skill requirements:
  • 2-4 years sales/retail experience, salon/spa experience preferred but not required
  • Must be a self-starter who enjoys working with the public
  • Be able to participate in a team- and goal-driven environment
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment; multi-tasking is a must
  • Must show proficiency in basic computer skills
  • Some night and weekend hours necessary
  • Experience with the Millennium Point of Sale System or similar retail program a plus
