The Sound Healing Instructor will conduct wellness classes and programming for the HUB at Blackberry Mountain. The Sound Healing and Meditation Instructor provides high quality service to guests through their expertise, talents, and education . The Sound Healing and Meditation Instructor will assist the Wellness Manager and Assistant Director in creating and providing wellness programming.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Conduct group wellness classes
• Ensures confidentiality with respect to guest data according to Blackberry Mountain confidentiality guidelines
• Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered
• Perform prep work, properly clean and restock room as required
• Maintain a working knowledge of the Company's property, as well as special events on and near property, in order to advise guest of the same, whenever possible
• Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained
• Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings
• Assist in all areas of the wellness operations
• Maintain a professional reputation in the company and community
• Perform any tasks deemed necessary by manager
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
To perform the essential functions of this position, regular and predictable attendance is required.
Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.
Must have the flexibility to work weekends.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• 2 years teaching experience preferred
• Previous studio experience preferred
• Sound and/or Meditation certification preferred
• Current CPR Certification
• High School Diploma or equivalent
LANGUAGE SKILLS
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills
• Must have the ability to prepare/write educational materials for guests
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers and team members
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
• Basic knowledge and understanding of math
• Ability to calculate calorie and nutrient requirements
REASONING ABILITY
• Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Lift and/or move objects weighing up to 10 lbs. and equipment up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• 5,200 acres of Blackberry Mountain property
