Job description

Job Summary

As the Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, maintain high food quality and service standards, and support staff development. This is a hands-on leadership role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about food, people, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing restaurant operations including opening/closing, inventory, and cash handling
  • Lead and support front-of-house and back-of-house staff during shifts
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness
  • Deliver excellent customer service and resolve guest issues professionally
  • Train, coach, and motivate team members for peak performance
  • Monitor performance metrics and help achieve sales and labor goals
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll input, and ordering supplies
  • Step into roles like prep, cooking, or cashier during peak hours if needed
  • Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation protocols are followed
Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of restaurant or food service supervisory experience (fast food or quick-service preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • ServSafe or Food Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain within 30 days — company-paid)
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and late shifts as needed
