Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. This position will be part of the maintenance team at SOPAKCO and will be responsible for the line efficiency regarding instrumentation and PLC, production and other focus improvement needs. Also, all safety procedures as stated in GMP, safety standards, plant rules.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs any electrical, electronic and instrument work regarding the diagnosis, installation, testing and repair of electronic and solid-state concepts (including but not limited to printed circuit boards, computer interface

Equipment, advanced scope and test equipment, transducers, AC drive systems, controls and synchronous motor controls, programmable controllers, etc.

Maintains, constructs, installs, repairs and calibrates any plant electrical, instrument, and metering equipment.

Participate in the preventive and predictive maintenance programs for any plant electrical, electronic and instrument equipment or control system.

Performs original electrical/electronic layouts and circuit designs.

Works from information obtained from engineering drawings, electrical diagrams, simple and complex sketches as well as other related documents

Troubleshoots electrical, electronic and instrument systems.

Completes records and reports.

Participates in the safety and good housekeeping programs established within the plant.

Completes Work Orders, Activity Reports, and Work Logs Works in an efficient self-directed manner to resolve electrical issues that plague the plant or a specific process.

Follows all safety rules, plant rules, and GMP.

Performs other maintenance duties as requested such as:

o Participates in equipment modifications, rearrangements, or minor projects.

o Supports equipment validation activities.

o Provides mechanical support to manufacturing, packaging and utilities projects and teams.

o Perform any other activity when required based on business needs, possibly outside their assigned area or expertise.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably Electrical) or Associate's Degree with equivalent experience/training.

Computer systems, PCs and software including AutoCAD, Programming and troubleshooting of PLCs, drives and robotic systems, working knowledge of Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems, Control systems design, troubleshooting and installation, Man Machine Interface programming.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times
