About the role
This role is the Campus Worship Pastor role at Christ Covenant, Smyrna. This role is responsible for developing a Biblical, healthy worship culture for our congregation. The Campus Worship Pastor, Smyrna will report directly to the Worship Pastor. Below are expectations that the Campus Worship Pastor will be responsible and accountable for during each of the performance review cycles:
What you'll do
Leading Worship
  • Influence and contribute to Smyrna Sunday worship planning including song selection, practice with volunteers and weekly Sunday preparation.
  • Lead rehearsal for volunteer band and lead sunday morning services
  • Work with Campus Pastor to develop and influence the worship culture of the Smyrna campus.

Liturgy, Culture, and Development
  • Work with Worship Pastor to develop thoughtful liturgical elements for CC's worship services
  • Develop a robust development system for aspiring musicians and singers in Christ Covenant.
  • Manage college worship leaders with periodic attendance at college gatherings

Pastoral Responsibilities
  • Hold relational meetings with church members on a regular basis
  • Read and evaluate baptism testimonies for Smyrna baptisms
  • Help lead a portion of First Sunday programming at the Smyrna campus

Special Events and Projects
  • Contribute to the curation of creative elements, create fresh arrangements of songs, and write new songs for Sunday services
  • Contribute to the recording and producing of new CC music recordings.
  • Contribute to periodic big event planning meeting and quarterly worship planning meetings

Qualifications
  • Seminary or Bible degree is preferred.
  • 4-5 yrs of experience in leading musical worship
  • Proven background in fast-paced work environments with a flexible mindset toward initiatives.
