Job description

TL;DR:
Imubit is looking for a strategic, customer-focused Solution Manager to join our Delivery team. This is a pivotal role at the intersection of industrial domain expertise, project leadership, and enterprise account management. You will serve as the primary face of Imubit to our customers - owning the success, growth, and long-term health of a portfolio of accounts across refining, petrochemical, cement, and mining industries.
If the Account Director is the "CEO" of an account, you are the "COO" - responsible for translating strategy into execution, ensuring value delivery at every stage of the customer journey, and identifying new opportunities to expand the relationship. This role is not just about delivery - it is about strategic partnership, customer retention, and revenue growth.
This job is open to remote candidates in the US
About us:
Imubit is redefining how industrial companies around the world adopt and scale enterprise AI, adding millions of dollars to plant bottom lines while operating safely within constraints related to energy efficiency and sustainability.
Our AI platform supports real-time optimization across complex, nonlinear industrial systems, enabling both autonomous and guided decision-making in live production environments. Fortune 500 companies rely on Imubit to continuously improve profitability and sustainability across their most valuable assets.
Backed by Insight Partners, Imubit brings together deep domain expertise from companies such as Exxon and Shell with leading AI talent from Google and other top innovators. With teams across the United States, Europe, Asia, and a growing international presence, Imubit is transforming operational optimization across industries ranging from refining and aromatics to polymers and LNG liquefaction.
In this position, you will:
Account Ownership & Customer Success
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for a portfolio of industrial customer accounts, spanning the full account lifecycle from new project delivery through long-term sustainment.
  • Own customer success criteria end-to-end: define them, track them, communicate progress, and drive resolution of risks and blockers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer tactical and operational teams, leading regular project status meetings and building trusted relationships across all levels of the customer organization-from frontline operations personnel to executive leadership. Co-lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with Portfolio Managers and customer stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify detractors, document risks and challenges internally, and escalate with well-formed recommendations.
  • Support Account Directors in driving subscription renewals and expanding deals by identifying new value-generation opportunities within existing accounts.

Project Delivery Leadership
  • During the project delivery phase, lead the full project lifecycle: scope definition, requirements gathering, stakeholder alignment, team coordination, milestone tracking, and successful commissioning of Imubit solutions.
  • Translate customer business needs into clear technical direction for the broader delivery team.
  • Anticipate project risks before they surface and put mitigation plans in place - keeping execution on track without sacrificing quality.
  • Plan and lead all major customer engagements: kickoffs, design reviews, commissioning sessions, and continuous improvement cycles.

Sustainment & Value Expansion
  • Once a solution is commissioned, transition the account into sustainment mode - ensuring deployed models remain evergreen, continue to generate value, and adapt as the customer's process and economic environment evolve.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve existing solutions or develop new use cases (Inferentials, DLPs, expanded optimization models) across the customer's site.
  • Collaborate with Account Directors and Business Consulting on out-of-scope opportunities that unlock additional revenue.

Technical Credibility & Communication
  • Leverage your industry engineering expertise to build credibility with plant operators, process engineers, and site leadership - positioning yourself as a knowledgeable partner, not just a vendor.
  • Communicate Imubit's technology, capabilities, and limitations in clear, audience-appropriate terms - from site-level operators to C-suite executives.
  • Train and orient customer stakeholders (operators, engineers, management) on Imubit's platform and how to extract maximum value from deployed solutions.
  • Serve as a conduit between the customer and Imubit's Product and R&D teams, channeling field insights to shape the product roadmap.

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Lead and coordinate a cross-functional delivery team (Implementation Engineers, data scientists, infrastructure) without direct management authority - earning influence through expertise and trust.
  • Partner closely with Account Directors on account strategy; collaborate with Business Consulting on expansion opportunities.
  • Share institutional knowledge across the delivery organization and contribute to the continuous improvement of Imubit's delivery methodology.

Experience & Background:
  • BSc in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing-adjacent industries - refining, petrochemical, cement, mining, or similar industrial domains.
  • Demonstrated track record in one or more of the following: program or project management in a manufacturing or industrial setting; plant or process engineering with a customer-facing or consulting component; technical account management or customer success with industrial software or technology.
  • Experience working cross-functionally across operations, engineering, and commercial teams.
  • Comfortable presenting to and engaging with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel 20-25% as required.

Skills & Competencies:
  • Strategic Account Mindset: Ability to zoom out from day-to-day delivery and think about the long-term health, value, and growth trajectory of an account.
  • Project Leadership: Natural project management instincts - you anticipate risks, keep multiple workstreams organized, and drive execution with urgency and quality.
  • Industrial Fluency: Deep enough technical understanding of plant processes, control systems, and optimization concepts to earn the trust of engineers and operators, and to guide technical decisions in partnership with your team.
  • Customer Success Orientation: A genuine drive to help customers succeed, paired with the ability to manage expectations, handle difficult conversations, and turn skeptics into advocates.
  • Influence Without Authority: Skilled at aligning diverse stakeholders - both internally and externally - toward a shared outcome, without relying on a command-and-control structure.
  • Executive Communication: Clear, concise, and confident communicator in both written and verbal formats, able to adapt your message to your audience.
  • Adaptability & Learning Agility: Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and domains at pace. Imubit operates at the frontier - you need to be comfortable with ambiguity and constant evolution.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with process control, planning and economics, or plant optimization solutions.
  • Background in a customer-facing vendor or consulting role serving industrial clients.
  • Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics applied to industrial processes.
  • Experience with subscription-based SaaS delivery models and recurring revenue dynamics.
