Job description

Overview

The Solution Line Create Manager is a hybrid people leadership, solution portfolio, and product-oriented role responsible for driving the success of a portfolio of Autodesk-based solutions (plugins, add-ons, and workflow extensions such as Powerpack, Ideate, and similar tools).

The role ensures that solutions are not only well-designed, but also adopted, scalable, and commercially impactful across markets.

This position operates at the intersection of:

  • Construction / AEC domain expertise
  • Technical solution design and architecture
  • Service delivery and customer success
  • Product strategy and portfolio management

This position has end-to-end accountability across a solution line, including:

  • Evolving a portfolio strategy (multi-product)
  • Leading teams delivering and supporting solutions in the field
  • Ensuring alignment between product direction, services, and revenue outcomes
  • Driving continuous feedback loops between customers, delivery teams, and R&D

The role requires strong people management, ensuring teams of technical specialists, consultants, and project managers are aligned, developed, and performing at a high level.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Line & Portfolio Leadership

  • Evolve a portfolio of solutions (not a single product), ensuring relevance, consistency, and business impact
  • Define and maintain a clear direction for the solution line, aligned with customer needs and company strategy
  • Balance short-term delivery priorities with long-term solution evolution
  • Drive standardization and scalability across solutions and services

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as the central bridge between Sales, Customers, Delivery, Product, and R&D
  • Ensure alignment across stakeholders on priorities, roadmap, and customer value
  • Facilitate effective collaboration between technical and non-technical teams
  • Provide clear direction and decision-making in a matrix organization

Solution Design & Value Delivery

  • Understand construction workflows and customer challenges
  • Ensure solutions are:
    • Technically feasible
    • Scalable and standardized
    • Secure and maintainable
    • Commercially relevant and sellable
  • Support and guide:
    • Pre-sales solution design and scoping
    • Project delivery alignment and quality
    • Post-go-live optimization and value realization

Delivery & Customer Impact

  • Ensure consistent high-quality delivery across projects and regions
  • Drive improvements in implementation methodologies and best practices
  • Monitor and improve customer outcomes (adoption, usage, satisfaction, retention)
  • Ensure strong feedback loops from delivery and customers into solution improvements

People Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop a team of technical specialists, consultants, and project managers
  • Create a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative team environment
  • Provide clear priorities, coaching, and continuous feedback
  • Manage capacity, hiring, and skills development aligned with portfolio needs
  • Foster a culture of ownership, customer focus, and continuous improvement

Continuous Improvement & Feedback Loops

  • Capture and structure insights from:
    • Customer interactions
    • Delivery experience
    • Sales feedback
  • Translate insights into:
    • Solution improvements
    • Portfolio adjustments
    • Input for Product and R&D teams
  • Continuously refine standards, offerings, and ways of working

Key Outcomes Expected

  • Strong adoption and usage growth across the solution portfolio

  • Measurable business impact (revenue contribution, services growth, cross-sell)

  • Consistent high-quality delivery (on-time, on-budget, customer satisfaction)

  • Scalable and standardized solution offerings across regions

  • Clear and actionable portfolio roadmap aligned with market needs

  • High performing, engaged, and continuously developing team

  • Effective feedback loop influencing Product and R&D direction

Responsibilities
  • Proven experience in solution, product, or services management within a software or technology-driven environment.
  • Strong background in software consulting, professional services, or solution delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical, consulting, or project management teams.
  • Experience managing and supporting multiple solutions or product portfolios rather than a single product.
  • Solid understanding of the customer-driven solution lifecycle, from pre-sales and implementation through adoption and ongoing success.
  • Experience working with Autodesk technologies (e.g., Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud) or comparable software platforms.
  • Strong customer-facing experience with the ability to identify business needs and translate them into scalable solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in matrix and international organizations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, products, and stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience coaching, developing, and motivating teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and
  • business audiences.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a global and multicultural environment.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of BIM workflows and construction/AEC industry practices.
  • Exposure to software integrations, plugins, APIs, or platform-based solutions.
  • Previous experience in technical leadership, solution architecture, or product management roles.
  • Relevant industry certifications, such as Autodesk, BIM, or related professional credentials.
