The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Description

Be part of Salesforce's high-energy Federal Public Sector Solution Engineering (SE) team, where your technical expertise meets a higher purpose. In this role, you aren't just selling software - you are a mission-critical partner in improving how government serves its citizens

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of digital transformation. You are a customer-facing technical trusted advisor who will support vital federal missions by designing, building and demonstrating how our Agentic Government Cloud solutions solve the government's most complex challenges. You will lead technical discovery, shape and execute proof points for customer environments, guide production readiness, and establish a clear path to activation and consumption-blending executive presence with deep, full-stack technical skills across Salesforce, modern data architectures, and AI.

Role Description

The SE is focused on helping our government customers become a true Agentic Enterprise by operationalizing Data + AI + Trust. You will serve as a definitive subject matter expert for our government solutions and guide customers across the lifecycle-from technical evaluation and close through activation, adoption, and expansion.

Your Impact

  • Lead deep technical and business discovery sessions with federal stakeholders to uncover mission gaps, pain points, and legacy bottlenecks to scope agentic solution use cases, translate outcomes/ROI into an executable architecture, demonstration/proof-of-concept (POC) and activation plan

  • Build high-impact demonstrations and POCs on the platform. This includes configuring Agentforce to demonstrate how autonomous AI agents can automate federal workflows and citizen services.

  • Deliver world-class product demonstrations that tell a compelling story, showing how Salesforce solves specific agency missions needed to achieve the functional requirements of the customer.

  • Create end-to-end technical architectures and solutions that integrate Salesforce's Agentic Enterprise Platform with the unique security and enterprise architecture needed to achieve the technical win.

  • Design and lead hands-on technical workshops and "Deep Dives" for agency IT leads and Enterprise Architects.

  • Confidently present technical solutions to GS/Executive-level leadership and political appointees, simplifying complex tech into mission outcomes.

  • Serve as the technical lead for Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, ensuring technical accuracy and security compliance.

  • Drive activation by partnering with customers on agent definition, configuration, and deployment strategy to accelerate production readiness

  • Identify automation and process improvement opportunities by intaking both process and technical requirements to remove friction and accelerate activation

  • Build reusable accelerators (demo environments, components, POC assets, playbooks, best practices) and enable others to scale delivery

  • Drive Voice of the Customer into Product; inform messaging/plays with Product Marketing

  • Leverage modern 3rd-party development tools and AI-assisted coding to rapidly build and iterate on platform configurations, front-end experiences and custom components.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years customer-facing solution/technical architecture (pre-sales, consulting, implementation) with increasing scope/influence.

  • Degree in Computer Science required (B.S., Master's, or Ph.D.)

  • Proficiency of Salesforce Core (Public Sector Solutions, Sales, Service, Experience Cloud) and the Data 360/Agentforce stack.

  • Agentic + AI fluency: practical understanding of LLMs, RAG/grounding, evaluation concepts, and how agentic systems behave in production (safety, reliability, governance).

  • Experience with agentic engineering tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Agentforce Vibes, etc).

  • The ability to run technical & business discovery to define agentic solution use cases, success metrics, and a feasible execution plan.

  • Executive + technical communication: able to lead whiteboards and communicate with developers and C-suite with equal fluency, and translate architecture to outcomes/ROI.

  • Deep technical command of multi-tier architectures, including relational database design (SQL, SOQL), schema modeling, and the nuances of high-scale web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/LWC).

  • Growth mindset; willingness to continually sharpen technical/advisory skills through required enablement, labs, courses, and certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong Salesforce engineering depth; Apex and Lightning Web Components (or equivalent) and comfort operating across the SDLC.

  • SQL and/or Python proficiency and comfort with modern cloud data platforms/analytics tooling (Snowflake/Databricks/BigQuery; Tableau/Looker/Power BI).

  • Experience with other agent platforms (e.g., Gemini/Agentspace or similar) and broader AI automation implementations.

  • Consumption/business modeling with understanding of consumption levers and can map anticipated consumption spend from architecture/usage patterns

  • Proven experience in modern application development; specifically, a working knowledge of Java, Python, or Node.js, and an understanding of modern API patterns such as REST, GraphQL, and Pub/Sub.

  • Understanding of the Federal Civilian market, procurement lifecycle and the nuances of the public sector mission.
