Key responsibilities

  • Generate opportunities, build relationships, develop proposals, present solutions, close deals, and move sold projects into installation.

  • Work with the internal team to develop customized solar proposals, present system designs and pricing, and communicate sold projects to the installation team.

  • Maintain the sales pipeline, follow up with leads, and handle objections to close solar contracts.

Job description

SOLAR SALES REPRESENTATIVE
COMMISSION ONLY | UP TO $300k/YEAR

UNLIMITED EARNING POTENTIAL

FROM FIRST CONTACT TO SIGNED CONTRACT

Brda Electric is looking for a full-cycle Solar Sales Representative who can generate opportunities, build relationships, develop proposals, present solutions, close deals, and move sold projects into installation.

If you can close solar deals we want to talk to you.

This is not a lead-setter position. This is not an appointment-setting job. And you will not be handing your customer off to someone else after you initiate the first conversation.

Why Brda Electric

Brda Electric has been serving the St. Louis region since 1989 and has grown into a multi-service electrical contractor supporting residential, commercial, and solar customers. The company is family-owned, locally rooted, and continues to expand its services and operations.

We are not looking to stay the same. We are improving systems, investing in people, growing our capabilities, and building an operation capable of supporting where the company is going next.

As the Solar Sales Representative, you are selling a project that Brda’s own team will execute. We are a local company, 37 years in business which means customers will not be dealing with a faceless national solar corporation. Brda Electric has over a 1000 google reviews with a 4.9 rating so you are coming onto a company with strong credibility already built.

You’re Not Selling A Box Of Panels

You are selling an energy solution backed by a company that understands electrical infrastructure.

Brda’s solar solutions can include:

  • Solar PV systems
  • Battery storage
  • Electrical service upgrades
  • Smart electrical solutions
  • Financing options
  • Cash purchases
  • Power Purchase Agreements
  • Permitting
  • Utility coordination
  • Professional Installation
  • Ongoing electrical support

This gives you multiple ways to structure a solution around the customer’s needs.

You sell the solution, our team helps execute it.

Why This Role Matters

We are building a local solar sales team- and we are looking for people who want to build something with us. You bring the drive. You generate the opportunity. You run the sale. You close the contract. Brda brings the credibility, design resources, installation infrastructure, and experience behind you. Brda is not a solar start up. The company brings over three decades of credibility, so when you are standing at a homeowner’s door, you are representing a company that has already earned the trust you are asking that homeowner to give you. That makes a difference.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Working company-provided leads.
  • At times generating your own residential and small commercial solar leads starting with our client base of thousands of customers
  • Conducting homeowner and business consultations.
  • Identifying energy needs and potential solar opportunities.
  • Gathering the information necessary for system design.
  • Working with Brda’s team to develop customized solar proposals.
  • Presenting system designs and pricing to customers.
  • Explaining financing, cash purchase, and PPA options.
  • Handling objections and negotiating with confidence.
  • Closing solar contracts.
  • Maintaining your sales pipeline and follow-up schedule.
  • Communicating sold projects to Brda’s internal installation team.
  • Maintaining the customer relationship throughout the sales-to-installation transition.

You aren’t just selling the appointment, you are selling the entire project.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Has proven solar sales experience with #s to back it up
  • Has a history of closing many deals.
  • Can take customers from lead intake to a closed deal
  • Is comfortable talking with warm and cold leads.
  • Can close & prospect without being micromanaged.
  • Can run a sales consultation.
  • Can educate clients on on how solar works in layman's terms
  • Can explain complex products in simple terms.
  • Is comfortable discussing money.
  • Can handle rejection.
  • Knows how to ask for the sale.
  • Is competitive and goal-oriented.
  • Has strong follow-up discipline.
  • Is comfortable with commission-only compensation. A small base salary may apply DOE.

Compensation

This is a commission base position - A small salary may apply DOE

There is no income ceiling. Your earning potential is directly tied to the amount of business you close. Typical system sizes can range from approximately $35,000 - $100,000, creating substantial commission opportunities for strong closers.

Plus quarterly bonus opportunities.
