Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) for our new plant in Columbus, Ohio. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our solar products, with a particular focus on customer satisfaction, audits, and complaint handling. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the quality aspects of our products throughout the entire customer journey, from pre-sales to after-sales service. This includes addressing customer complaints, coordinating audits, and implementing continuous improvement measures to enhance product quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and manage customer visits, ensuring effective communication of customer information to various departments within the plant.

  • Provide feedback and confirmation on issues during order execution and ensure timely communication back to the customers.

  • Follow up on customer In-Process Monitoring (IPM) and Pre-ship Inspection (PSI) issues, resolving any inspection and feedback concerns, especially at project sites.

  • Participate in the review and establishment of solar module quality inspection criteria.

  • Ensure pre-production confirmation, including production line execution standards and material verification against contract agreements.

  • Manage and coordinate customer factory audits, preparing in advance for tours and ensuring all quality standards are met.

  • Address customer complaints by organizing and tracking investigations into the reasons, preparing detailed analysis reports, and submitting corrective and preventive actions to customers.

  • Travel to project sites, as necessary, to resolve challenging issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Drive internal improvement initiatives based on customer feedback, ensuring that lessons learned are implemented to prevent future issues.

  • Develop and implement quality management systems and objectives specific to customer-facing quality concerns.

  • Actively promote and implement quality improvement activities across the plant, ensuring alignment with company standards.

  • Prepare regular reports on the quality of customer interactions, complaint resolutions, and audit outcomes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrated work experience.

  • 2+ years of experience in quality management, preferably in the solar module or related manufacturing industry.

  • Strong knowledge of production safety, lean production, six sigma, and production quality.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and experience handling customer complaints and audits.

  • Ambition, self-motivation, and a strong sense of responsibility.

  • Openness to learning and continuous improvement.
