Position Overview

Solace Health Services is seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team in Arlington, Virginia. As a full-time therapist operating within a remote outpatient office model, you will play a crucial role in transforming the lives of clients managing mood disorders through evidence-based therapeutic practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations of mood disorder symptoms, including assessing intensity, frequency, and duration to inform treatment decisions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs, goals, and preferences of each client.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to implement robust treatment interventions.
  • Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journeys.
  • Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated, holistic care.
  • Stay informed about developments in mood disorder research and therapeutic techniques to enhance treatment effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in professional development, case consultations, and team meetings to foster collaboration and mutual growth among staff.
  • Act as an advocate for clients, working to reduce stigma associated with mental health challenges and ensure their needs are duly addressed.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on assisting individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will also provide support to vulnerable populations, including homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. Your work will significantly impact their mental and emotional well-being, guiding them towards recovery and self-sufficiency.

Qualifications
  • A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster a trustworthy therapeutic relationship with clients.
  • A compassionate, empathetic demeanor with a nonjudgmental approach to clients' experiences.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage caseloads and administrative tasks.
