Salaryapg is looking for a Software Developer to support the design, development, integration, and ongoing support of software solutions for our connected devices and technology platforms. In this role, you will work across embedded application software, IoT connectivity, mobile applications, operating systems, APIs, and hardware interfaces to help deliver reliable, scalable, and user-focused technology solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early to mid-career developer who enjoys solving technical problems, collaborating across engineering disciplines, and contributing to the full software development lifecycle—from concept and development through testing, deployment, and product support.At apg, you will have the opportunity to contribute to technology that supports connected products used in real-world business environments. What You’ll Do
  • Develop and maintain software applications for connected devices.
  • Develop and integrate Android applications, with additional work across Windows and Linux environments.
  • Work with IoT devices, peripherals, and device communications.
  • Develop and integrate APIs, SDKs, and third-party technologies.
  • Support USB protocols and device connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot issues involving software, operating systems, networks, connected devices, and hardware.
  • Work with cloud, web-hosting, and backend environments.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, product, and technology teams.
  • Develop testing, documentation, and support tools for production systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical/computer engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • 3–6 years of software development experience.
  • Strong programming, debugging, testing, and software-development skills.
  • Experience with C#/.NET/MAUI, Ruby, Java, HTML, Python, and/or C/C++.
  • Experience developing for Android/Android Studio.
  • Experience with Windows and/or Linux environments.
  • Experience with IoT, connected devices, or hardware/software integration.
  • Experience with REST APIs, SDKs, and third-party integrations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Experience
  • Yocto Linux, MongoDB/NoSQL, or XML.
  • Point-of-sale systems and related technology.
  • POS peripherals such as payment terminals, printers, scanners, displays, and cash drawers.
  • Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or serial communications.
  • Cloud platforms, web-hosting environments, backend services, databases, and web technologies.
