Job Summary:
Sentar Inc. is an employee-owned company focused on cybersecurity, intelligence, analytics, and systems engineering. They are seeking a Senior Web App Developer to design, build, and maintain high-quality web-based applications that support forensic and investigative missions.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust web-based applications using industry best practices.
• Translate UI/UX wireframes into responsive, functional, and maintainable code.
• Perform ongoing maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.
• Document applications, services, and environments to support long-term sustainability and knowledge sharing.
• Configure, administer, and manage web application tools and platforms.
• Develop and maintain content for enterprise web applications that support critical decision-making.
• Create and enhance search capabilities, reports, and dashboards.
• Recommend and implement software enhancements and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Apply security best practices to safeguard applications against vulnerabilities.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) events.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility and ability to obtain a CI Polygraph
• Bachelor's degree or master's degree with 8 years of experience of experience OR associate degree with 11 years of experience OR High School/Diploma with 14 years of experience.
• Experience working within the SAFe Agile framework.
• Strong knowledge of web application security principles.
• Proven experience developing complex web applications in government or similarly regulated environments.
• Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks such as Angular or React
• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and HTML5/CSS3
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with Bootstrap and other CSS frameworks
• Experience with frontend build tools and package managers
• Backend development experience with technologies such as .NET (C#), Python, or Node.js
• Database integration experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server)
• Experience implementing Section 508 accessibility requirements
• Knowledge of web application security best practices and performance optimization techniques
Preferred:
• GraphQL for API development
• Elasticsearch for search and analytics integration
• Messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Redis, or similar brokers
• Containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for web applications
• Cloud environments, including AWS GovCloud, SC2S, or C2S
• DevSecOps tools and best practices
• Operating within classified or secure environments
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a CI Polygraph
