Description:

OCH Technologies is looking for an experienced Software Test Analyst to ensure the quality and reliability of critical government web applications undergoing modernization. This role will be creating and integrating automated tests into ongoing development pipelines and maintaining test suites as applications evolve. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies, automation, and quality assurance processes, with experience in both legacy and modern software environments.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for two web applications, including functional, regression, and integration test suites
  • Monitor and report on automated test results, identify flaky tests, and maintain suite reliability over time
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for legacy and new system components
  • Perform manual functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing as needed
  • Validate application and system performance against technical requirements
  • Collaborate with developers to identify and resolve software defects
  • Verify data integrity during database migrations and system updates
  • Conduct security and compliance testing to ensure adherence to government standards
  • Document and report test results, including detailed bug reports
  • Participate in code reviews from a quality assurance perspective
  • Assist in defining and improving QA processes and methodologies

Responsibilities may evolve over time to support team and organizational goals, but will remain consistent with the overall scope of the role.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Math, Science, or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of at least eight (8) + years of professional software testing experience
  • Strong, demonstrated experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with government software development and testing processes
  • Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent)
  • Experience managing automated testing across multiple applications simultaneously
  • Experience with API testing and automation using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent
  • Experience writing test reports, test plans, and test procedures that capture all results for each test activity
  • Experience testing web applications and database driven systems

Security Clearance Requirement

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Level security clearance


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with testing Oracle PL/SQL based systems
  • Knowledge of NoSQL database testing
  • Familiarity with testing in microservices-based environments
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks testing
  • Experience developing automation for web application benchmarking and scripted testing
  • Experience testing systems in a closed-network environment
  • Experience using TestRail or equivalent test management platforms
  • Familiarity with containerized test execution (Docker)
