Your role and responsibilities
QA/Test Developer, IBM Corporation, Herndon, VA (Up to 100% telecommuting permitted):
  • Design and implement innovative test environments, fine-tune and sustain existing test environments for optimal performance, and guarantee top-notch product quality through rigorous testing and debugging.
  • Build and test the cloud-enabled hybrid integration platform with standards-based and leading-edge capabilities.
  • Work across the IBM webMethods suite to architect, design, and deliver easy-to-use solutions to complex problems.
  • Participate in one of the scrum teams from day one and apply lean methodologies to steadily deliver customer value.
  • Deliver high-quality, well-documented features as well as create and maintain reusable test automation infrastructures.
  • Participate in a full agile lifecycle, from feature definition to design and implementation.
  • Work together with the team to continuously improve methodologies and accelerate the value stream.
  • Perform a rotation as Scrum Master or act as liaison between Scrum teams for cross-product features as a quality assurance leader.
  • Assist sales engineers and consultants with customer engagements, and back up sustaining engineers to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction as a team member.
  • Utilize webMethods Integration Server, webMethods Microservices Runtime, Jenkins, Git, Docker, Java, Jmeter, Kafka, Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT), Java Message Service (JMS), Apache Ant, Scrum, Agile methodology.

Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as a QA Engineer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing at least 8 of the following 13 tools/skills: webMethods Integration Server, webMethods Microservices Runtime, Jenkins, Git, Docker, Java, Jmeter, Kafka, Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT), Java Message Service (JMS), Apache Ant, Scrum, Agile methodology. $155844 - $175000 per year.
