Job description

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Test Engineer. The Test Engineer (GTE) will perform GEOINT quality risk analysis, test planning, and test performance of GEOINT data, systems, applications, and services. The Lead GTE will provide technical and process leadership to GEOINT Quality team members to ensure the spread of standard test practices and knowledge to include conceiving the initial test to address GEOINT quality risks introduced by design, development requirements, and/or system/data integration.

  • Proven capability for work related to the architecture, design, and implementation of the office's web-based workflow tools, an automated testing framework that includes the development of automated test and business process capabilities, the integration, testing, deployment, infrastructure requirements, operational maintenance and upgrades of existing web and off-the-shelf test and business workflow tools.
  • The Test Automation Developer/Performance Engineer will communicate and align the automation strategy with the rest of the team members, and will work collaboratively with enterprise test directors, image quality scientists, the test mission support team, and development teams to build game changing business process and test tools that advance GEOINT test modernization goals. ย 
  • Provide expert technical consultancy, expertise and advice to the Government on all matters related to technical architecture, infrastructure and software development operations, maintenance, and modernization, to include feasibility for all these factors.ย 

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a Poly
  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Science, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative science field and 10 years of experience as a GEOINT Test Engineer on programs/projects
  • Experience conducting Analysis/Gathering, Test Planning, Test Case Development, Test Execution, Test Automation, and Test Reporting related to GEOINT quality concerns for both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience designing, executing, and reporting results of effective GEOINT quality and functional tests, developing effective collection plans, capturing, and reporting issues, and adapting existing test strategies to new and evolving capabilities
  • Experience supporting test automation, test driven development, and test process and procedural improvements
  • Experience with NSG TCPED processes, workflows, and architecture
  • Experience leading teams resulting in successful verification and test strategies/solutions for complex programs
  • Experience designing and applying manual test cases and automation scripts to address GEOINT quality risks
  • Experience supporting the automation strategy/effort for modernizing the GEOINT quality test mission
  • Experience with cloud development processes
  • Experience ensuring the logical and systematic realization of verification and test requirements into system solutions to meet program objectives (e.g. test scenarios, test plans, defect tracking, lessons learned)
