Software Support Developer (Odoo/ERP Specialist)

Location: Farmington Hills, MI (In-Office Role)

About the Opportunity

Join a dynamic, fast-growing, tech-forward waste management company revolutionizing enterprise services nationwide. We provide scalable waste and facility solutions for industries like retail, construction, property management, grocery, hospitality, and healthcare, with features like AI-enabled routing, integrated billing, ESG reporting, and 24/7 emergency response. Our one-call resolution model ensures 98% on-time performance, optimizing logistics and simplifying operations across multiple sites. Join a dynamic team that's hands-on, reliable, and focused on frictionless efficiencyโ€”where your tech contributions directly support smarter, faster waste management. We embrace EOS principles for accountability and growth, with a young, open office (average age 25) featuring amenities like a basketball hoop, ping pong, and espresso bar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues in our Odoo-based ERP system, collaborating closely with the lead developer.
  • Customize modules using Python, HTML, JavaScript, and XML templating (QWeb preferred).
  • Handle system integrations, bug fixes, performance optimizations, and testing for logistics and waste management processes.
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and idea-sharing to scale the system efficiently.
  • Provide occasional after-hours support for critical issues, embodying our 24/7 responsive culture.
  • Contribute to tech-driven improvements, like AI routing integrations, to support nationwide operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in software development, ideally with ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, or equivalents).
  • Proficiency in Python, web technologies (HTML, JavaScript), and XML templating.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to thrive in an in-office setting with a young, energetic teamโ€”open to generational diversity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with Odoo, especially QWeb for templating and reporting.
  • Background in logistics, supply chain, or waste management software.
  • Familiarity with EOS or agile methodologies, with a focus on "right seat" fit and department ownership.
  • Personality traits: Adaptable, risk-taking, and team-oriented; varying personalities welcome if business alignment is strong.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive base salary: $60,000 - $90,000, based on experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits: Medical (Blue Cross Blue Shield), dental, 401(k) with 3-7% employer match (based on tenure/role), and paid time off.
  • Modern office perks: Basketball hoop, ping pong, espresso bar, and a collaborative environment.

Why Join Us? We're a young, energetic team (average age 25) with a modern culture that values hard work, innovation, and fun. We welcome diverse perspectives, including seasoned professionals who can bring maturity and expertise to our growing operation (~15 employees). If you're accountable, risk-tolerant, and excited about building something big, you'll thrive here with leadership paths as we scale. No hybrid optionsโ€”full in-office for team synergy.
