Job description

Overview
Susquehanna is currently looking for a DevOps Support Engineer to join our Market Data Operations team in our Philadelphia area headquarters.
You will be working side by side with software developers and business teams as you support our production trading environment. This role requires assessment, triage, and resolution of technical issues impacting our environment and business operations.
Our technology framework continues to expand and change, which allows our support team members to build upon their technical skills. Project work on this team would allow you to grow your skills in a number of areas such as development, platform engineering, testing, and business analysis.
In this role you will:
  • Provide daily operational support of proprietary trading systems
  • Troubleshoot and support Linux based systems
  • Deploy and maintain critical applications
  • Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code
  • Support and work alongside a cross-functional engineering team on the latest technologies
  • Communicate to both business and technology communities during production issues
  • Work on a wide variety of projects depending on business needs and your interests

What we're looking for
  • Experience in an application support, operations, DevOps, systems administration, or related role
  • Scripting experience and a drive towards automating repetitive tasks required (e.g. Bash and Python)
  • Unix and Linux Command Line experience/knowledge required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and communicate during system outages
  • Ability to effectively and responsibly integrate AI tools into daily workflows
  • BS in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, etc) is preferred
