General Sales Manager (GSM) Lead, Inspire, and Drive Results with Bob Loquercio Auto Group

Bob Loquercio Auto Group is seeking an experienced, high-performing General Sales Manager (GSM) to lead our Sales Department and drive continued growth across one of our award-winning dealerships. If you're a proven automotive sales leader with a passion for developing people, maximizing profitability, and delivering an exceptional customer experience, we want to hear from you.

As General Sales Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the dealership's sales operation, including coaching and developing the sales team, managing inventory, driving sales performance, and partnering closely with the Finance and Fixed Operations departments to achieve dealership goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Sales Managers and Sales Consultants.
  • Drive new and pre-owned vehicle sales while maximizing dealership profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Desk deals, structure transactions, and assist managers and sales consultants in closing deals.
  • Monitor daily sales activity, gross profit, F&I penetration, and key dealership performance metrics.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and retain top sales talent while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the Finance Department to maximize product penetration and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Manage new and used vehicle inventory levels, pricing strategies, aging inventory, and merchandising.
  • Analyze sales reports, market trends, and manufacturer objectives to develop action plans that achieve monthly and annual goals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with manufacturer representatives and ensure compliance with OEM sales standards.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally while delivering an exceptional ownership experience.
  • Ensure all CRM activities, follow-up processes, and sales procedures are executed consistently.
  • Promote a positive, professional, and customer-focused culture throughout the dealership.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of successful automotive sales experience with at least 3 years in a Sales Manager or General Sales Manager role.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales, gross profit, and customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing sales teams.
  • Extensive experience desking deals, inventory management, and sales forecasting.
  • Thorough understanding of CRM systems, dealership management software (DMS), and digital retailing processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment.
  • Professional appearance and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment screening.
  • Availability to work evenings, Saturdays, and additional hours as business needs require.
Physical Requirements
