Position Details
Position Title: Software Quality Assurance Manager
Department: Software Group
FLSA Status: Exempt
Location: Reno, NV or Menlo Park, CA
Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000
Reports to: Chief Information Officer.
Essential Functions
You will be responsible for managing the quality group.
We are looking for smart, hard-working people that have a passion for quality.
Specific Responsibilities Include
This role will initially be part hands on and part management. The person that gets hired will be expected to help build the QA team. Specific activities involve
  • Creation of an overall software testing and release strategy
  • Managing the day to day testing efforts
  • Work closely with product management to understand the expectations for the system
  • Work closely with the engineering team to understand the product created
  • Work closely with the engineering team to understand the existing unit tests
  • Work closely with the IT/DevOps team to understand the deployment model

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering or similar discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Able to learn new technologies quickly
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • An understanding of software development cycles and release management processes
  • Excellent writing skills and willingness to write documentation
  • An understanding of software quality metrics and quality process
  • Creative problem solver
  • Experience in at least one of the technologies listed above in addition to Flutter
