Job description

Position is responsible for leading and performing the maintenance of the quality software applications and processes, development and implementation of new processes to achieve evolving business objectives, and implementation of data and analytics methodologies in support of the business and sites.  Position will be responsible for evaluating the viability of implementing the quality system across the organization and leading the integration activities at facilities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop staff, including initiating recruitment and retention
  • Provide facility support resources for all quality software user activities
  • Manage quality software supplier relationship and while implementing/upgrading quality software modules 
  • Lead quality data and analytics initiatives to develop and gather actionable metrics to support the business functions
  • Integrate quality software modules/reports for newly acquired locations
  • Develop test plans for quality software upgrades
  • Work with Supplier Quality to develop improved electronic process for Supplier Ratings and PPAP systems
  • Develop and maintain revision control for work instructions relating to software processes
  • Other duties as assigned              

Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Must be a self-motivated leader who can manage and complete a wide array of projects on time and gain results through others. A strong understanding of the business needs is necessary such that timely completion of each project is achieved.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives, prioritize, and lead through the application project management principles
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal), teamwork and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to all levels of the organization
  • Experience with JD Edwards Enterpriseone (or equivalent ERP application)
  • Experience with IQS Trubox (or other integrated quality application)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Fundamental understanding of quality systems, methods, tools and standards
  • Fundamental understanding of statistical analysis methods
  • Understanding of documentation control and hierarchy
  • Leadership and personnel mentorship
  • Customer focus
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Up to 10% travel

Education / Training Required

  • Five years of quality/software-related experience in manufacturing environments
  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business, preferred
  • ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) and/or Software Engineer (CSE), preferred
