Job description

We are seeking an experienced Workday Project Manager to lead enterprise software implementation projects for public sector clients. This role oversees ERP implementations, business process improvements, and strategic technology initiatives while managing client relationships and project delivery from planning through completion. This is a hybrid position based in Wilmington, DE and is expected to last approximately three years.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary project manager for enterprise software implementation and system integration projects.
  • Partner with state and local government clients to guide projects from planning through implementation.
  • Develop project plans, implementation procedures, and client playbooks to support successful system rollouts.
  • Coordinate internal teams, vendors, and client stakeholders to keep projects on track and deliverables moving forward.
  • Monitor project risks, review documentation, and help clients navigate implementation challenges, including vendor scope changes.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop Project Manager Associates and Senior Associates through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Support multiple client engagements while maintaining organization, communication, and attention to detail.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of project management experience leading enterprise software implementations.
  • Hands-on experience managing Workday implementation projects required.
  • Experience working with state or local government agencies strongly preferred.
  • CAPM or PMP required.
  • ERP platform experience such as Infor, OpenGov, or NetSuite is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of software implementation methodologies, project governance, and system integrations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.


Compensation

  • $55-85/hr depending on experience
  • Hybrid position based in Wilmington, DE
  • Project expected to last approximately three years, with possible extension.
