Job description

Do you love the craft of email development-turning designs into reliable, high-performing communications that render consistently across clients and devices? Join our Channel Execution Team to lead the technical implementation of our email program, partnering with stakeholders to deliver quality at scale while proactively adopting new AI capabilities.

Job Summary:
As an Email Implementation Lead (AI-Enabled), you will be a key player in our Channel Execution Team, responsible for developing, testing, and supporting HTML email communications used across customer journeys. You will serve as the primary contact for email HTML questions, advising stakeholders on feasible approaches and best practices, and translating requirements into reliable, accessible, cross-client-compatible email builds. You'll also utilize AI models/assistants to accelerate development, QA, and documentation while applying strong technical judgment and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain responsive HTML email templates/modules optimized for consistent rendering across major email clients and devices.
Build and maintain AI-ready modular email templates with consistent taxonomy, tagging, and machine-readable structure to enable automated assembly and safe reuse.
Implement and govern a template/module metadata standard (naming conventions, required fields, constraints, and versioning) to support AI-assisted content assembly.
Build and evolve reusable template patterns (clear structure, modular sections, documented rules/constraints) to enable faster iteration and safer reuse.
Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders on email HTML questions, providing clear guidance, options, and tradeoffs.
Partner with design, marketing, and delivery/operations teams to translate creative concepts into technically sound email solutions and ensure timely execution.
Troubleshoot rendering issues and implement robust fallbacks (e.g., client-specific constraints, CSS support limitations, dark mode considerations).
Leverage AI models/assistants to accelerate implementation, refactoring, debugging, and controlled variation generation-validating outputs and ensuring correctness.
Create and maintain technical documentation, best practices, and reusable patterns to improve consistency, speed, and quality.
Apply accessibility-minded email development practices and help teams implement practical solutions within email constraints.
Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending new approaches, tooling enhancements, and process optimizations.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
You have a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Strong hands-on experience developing HTML emails (not just web pages), including table-based layouts, inline CSS, and client-compatible patterns.
Proven ability to QA and troubleshoot email rendering issues across common email clients and devices.
Demonstrated experience collaborating with stakeholders and explaining technical concepts in clear, non-technical terms.
Solid understanding of how email HTML/CSS capabilities differ from general web development, and ability to guide stakeholders on what is feasible in email.
Experience using AI models/assistants in a development workflow (prompting, iteration, validation, and responsible use) to improve speed and quality.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a quality-first mindset in fast-paced delivery environments.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience.
Experience building or maintaining modular email template systems/component libraries and related documentation.
Familiarity with email testing tools/workflows (render testing, link validation, dark mode checks).
Experience working in an Agile environment and with Agile project methodologies.
Understanding of email performance and operational considerations (e.g., build efficiency, maintainability, and handoff readiness).
