Job Description Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of software engineers across a range of experience levels.
  • Help team members grow professionally through coaching, development planning, regular feedback, and opportunities to expand their skills and impact.
  • Manage team performance by setting clear expectations, recognizing strengths and achievements, supporting employee growth, and addressing performance challenges in a constructive and timely manner.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain talented engineering professionals while helping cultivate a diverse and inclusive team.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and psychologically safe environment where individuals feel valued, empowered, and able to do their best work.
  • Partner with technical leads and product teams to prioritize work, allocate resources, and deliver high-quality software solutions that meet customer and business needs.
  • Help bridge the strengths of a fast-paced software organization with those of a global healthcare company, encouraging practical, scalable solutions that leverage the best of both environments.
  • Lead teams through organizational, process, and cultural change by communicating vision clearly, building engagement, and supporting successful adoption.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of software development practices, quality processes, and organizational standards.
  • Balance innovation and execution with the documentation, quality, and compliance requirements of a regulated healthcare environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify risks, remove obstacles, and help ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Serve as a trusted coach, partner, and resource for engineers and fellow leaders.
  • Contribute directly to GE HealthCare's mission of improving patient care and advancing healthcare technology.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience leading and managing software engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and support technical talent in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
