Tandem is recruiting for a FULL POSITION as a STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience to support our client's projects in our WINDSOR, ON LOCATION.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, emphasis on structures
  • Valid P.Eng designation in Ontario (required)
  • 5-7 years of practical experience
  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Software including Project
  • AutoCAD required
  • Highly motivated, with superb interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and the ability to speak multiple languages are considered an asset
  • Familiar with Canadian and American Structural Engineering design standards and codes
  • Ability to think methodically, to design, plan and manage projects
  • Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures
  • Experience with Automotive and conveyor structural design projects


Proficiency in one of the following software:

  • Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional
  • Autodesk Advance Steel detailing
  • SAP 2000
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
