Job Summary

SyBridge Technologies is seeking a strategic and results-driven Engineering Manager to lead and support our Engineering Department while upholding the Mission, Vision, and Values of the SyBridge Technologies Group of Companies. This role is ideal for an experienced engineering leader with strong technical expertise and a proven ability to manage teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Engineering Manager plays a key role in guiding the engineering team to achieve critical project milestone dates and uphold the highest quality standards.

This position focuses on coaching, training, and developing team members while ensuring engineering deliverables are accurate, efficient, and aligned with customer and business requirements. The Engineering Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet established time allowances and operational performance objectives. Success in this role requires strong leadership capability, technical proficiency, organizational skills, and a commitment to driving quality and continuous improvement across all engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of your Engineering Team.
  • Manages the teams workload and assign work as required to all direct reports.
  • Address all department quality issues or concerns for all assigned Programs.
  • Manage and support members of the team, and ensures all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
  • Provide designers and surfacers sufficient and accurate information relating to the design of molds.
  • Responsible to ensure tool is designed to SyBridge best practices and customer standards.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of all engineering policies, procedures, standards, and practices related to the Engineering Department.
  • Manage, coach, and provide positive feedback and areas for improvement to all direct reports.
  • Responsible for team members direct supervision and HR supportsuch asscheduling, time-off requests, team development, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to all SyBridge Technologies standards.
  • Fully accountable for status and issues surrounding all tools within your Engineering Team and attend review meetings as required.
  • Continuously strive to create and maintain a positive work environment which encourages open communication by all team members.
  • Encourage and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for approving purchase requisitions as required.
  • Communicate department status, issues or concerns to Senior Leadership when warranted.
  • Managing the team effectively so they are motivated to meet standardssuch astiming milestones, quality objectives and delivery metrics.
  • Other duties as assigned when required for this position.

Required Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree or Diplomas or Equivalent Experience as a Mold Maker, Designer, or Surfacer.
  • Knowledge of Catia V5 preferred.
  • 10+ years automotive experience preferred.
  • Tool design, mold making, or machining experience preferred.
  • Supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills.
  • Proficient in time management, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines as required.
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office such as Word and Excel.
