As a Software Engineer within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.
A Software Engineer in Fraud Engineering will combine strong engineering fundamentals with platform awareness and operational discipline, supporting mission critical fraud systems in a regulated, high availability environment.
Core Technical Skills
Proficiency in enterprise software development (Java based systems and distributed services)
Work with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica), APIs, SOAP/REST web services, and message queues to enable reliable, performant data movement.
Leverage Ansible, Linux shell or Python scripting
Familiarity with data flows, APIs, messaging, and integrations, including understanding how data enters and exits the fraud platform
Operational & Production Awareness
Understanding that production systems are always on and that engineering work directly impacts fraud detection, customer experience, and risk posture.
Ability to support incident investigation and remediation, including reading logs, analyzing system behavior, and collaborating during production issues.
