Software Engineering Manager- Full Time
Location: Boxborough, MA, 01719
What you will be doing:

  • Write high quality C++ code using QT SDK.
  • Maintain proficiency with the Linux operating system, particularly Redhat.
  • Understand and work with TPC/IP client/service technology and RESTful web services.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the software development team.
  • Prepare lifecycle for different projects inclusive of research, development, design, and evaluation.
  • Establish software development standards and processes.
  • Lead quality design reviews.
  • Supervise resource allocation and establish staffing goals.
  • Prepare and track schedules based on business priorities.
  • Enhance the functionality, performance, and scalability of product suite.
  • Research new technology and tools to improve product and processes.
  • Provide time and effort estimates related to engineering effort.

Experience you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 15 years of technical experience in high-tech software development.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience managing software development teams.
  • Strong multitasking skills.
  • Agile Scrum experience.
  • Experience in SQL and familiarity with database design and theory.
  • Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Design.
  • Experience with various networking protocols (SSH / TCP/IP).
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, Artifactory, SVN.
  • Ability to complete DHS Public Trust Background Check.
  • Ability to obtain a government clearance.
  • Must be able to maintain a US Passport and be willing & able to travel at short notice to customer sites, including international travel.
