The role of Global Software Leader is a global management team position with responsibility for leading and managing all aspects of Winbro product software across the global business, with a particular focus on supporting current products as well as developing new products in support of new and existing markets. This role requires leadership and management of a team of Software Engineers based in all Winbro locations including US, UK and Taiwan aligning Winbro software products, product development and innovation activity with business goals and objectives.

Role and responsibilities:

Software product leadership:

Drive innovative software solutions creating exceptional value to Winbro customers.

Define, prioritize, and maintain the software product roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders.

Own the end-to-end software product lifecycle from vision and roadmap to release and iteration.

Ensure best practice in software development, testing, documentation, and release management.

Define clear product requirements and functional specifications based on customer feedback, market needs, and internal insights.

Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, Production and Service teams to deliver software that integrates seamlessly with hardware platforms.

Ensure timely delivery of software that is fully tested, validated, and documented.

Team management & development:

Support a 'One Winbro' culture across all Winbro locations. Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary software team (developers, testers, UI/UX).

Foster a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.

Provide leadership and governance of the development process in order to deliver software projects to specification, on time and within budget.

Lead the team in the exploration of future software opportunities - including data analytics, automation, and digital support tools - in anticipation of customer needs.

Manage team project and work schedules and ensure that status and progress updates are provided to all stakeholders.

Design and implement comprehensive onboarding, training and development programs in coordination with Human Resources for every team member.

Cross-functional collaboration:

Collaborate with hardware Product Managers, Service and Market Managers to ensure a unified product strategy.

Support customer-facing teams with technical training, documentation, and feedback loops.

Align software development goals with business and market priorities.

Ensure a seamless and value-driven user experience across all software products.

Requirements

5+ years' experience in software product management, with prior experience of leading software teams across multiple regions.

Proven ability to manage product roadmaps, define requirements, and launch successful software solutions.

Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, testing protocols, and release processes.

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to travel globally to customer sites and to Winbro locations including US, UK and Taiwan.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Masters degree in a related field preferred.
