As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance software solutions that drive our trading and research platforms. You will engage deeply with both the technical and business aspects of our operations, working alongside traders, quantitative researchers, and other engineers to create scalable, efficient, and resilient solutions. You'll have the opportunity to tackle challenging technical problems while directly impacting the success and evolution of our trading strategies in a highly dynamic and competitive industry.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and collaborate in diverse and engaging software work, which includes areas such as trading infrastructure, computing and data processing, flexible pipelines for model development, and more
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust software that support our trading strategies and research initiatives
  • Proactively engage in complex projects from start to finish, which includes gathering project requirements, translating them into a rational software design, reasoning effectively about supporting or dependent technologies, and communicating effectively with teammates
  • Collaborate closely with Senior Software Engineers and benefit from mentorship and coaching

Requirements
  • Experience developing in a Linux environment with a focus on performance, concurrency, and correctness using languages such as Python, R, Java, Go, and C/C++
  • Demonstrated excellence in backend engineering via work with databases, large-scale data processing, highly available services
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and deploy a back-end application given design specs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with modern deployment and build tooling, such as Kubernetes, Bazel, etc. (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field (Graduating class of 2027)
  • Authorization to work in the United States
