About Us: EEDAS PLLC is a leading engineering consulting firm dedicated to providing innovative and sustainable solutions to our clients. We specialize in delivering high-quality engineering services across various sectors, including renewable energy, industrial, and commercial projects and delivered more than 100 projects in 17 states.
Position Overview: We are seeking Junior Geotechnical Engineer with 0-3 years' experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively on multidisciplinary projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating and supervising geotechnical site investigation services provided by EEDAS and third-party geotechnical consultants.
  • Interpreting and understanding field data and writing geotechnical reports to characterize site conditions, identify risks and issues caused by, but not limited to, shallow bedrock, excessive slope, wetlands, high water table, frost action, stormwater measures, and other site-specific hazards.
  • Providing recommendations and/or mitigation measures to resolve risks associated with the geotechnical aspects of projects.
  • Working as an individual contributor and in a collaborative team environment with very little supervision.
  • Taking the lead role in managing in-house soil sampling procedures, reporting, sample storage, and conducting testing per ASTM and other application standards. These duties will also include documenting standard operating procedures (SOP) for lab and field work.
  • Taking on multiple projects at one time, prioritizing tasks based on shifting project needs, supporting other team members, mentoring others, and traveling as needed to support field investigations and other project activities.
  • Learning how to set up field procedures for pile testing such as setting up test equipment, instrument calibration, and applicable industry methods and standards.
  • Conducting field pile testing activities with EEDAS teammates where testing data must be recorded and analyzed in real-time and sent to the main EEDAS office regularly for QA/QC confirmation.
  • Assuming responsibility for on-site pile testing activities upon completion of field training and demonstrated proficiency, under the guidance of internal subject matter experts and engineers with pile testing expertise.
  • Providing on-site job inspection, coordination, and supervision as of geotechnical site investigation services, on-site pile testing, construction materials installation, and cut/fill operations during construction.
  • Attending training to learn new software and analysis software such as L-pile.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 0-3 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • EIT is a plus not mandatory.
