Job Summary:
BranchLab is an AI-native technology company focused on privacy-first, outcome-based advertising for healthcare. The role involves designing scalable backend systems and infrastructure for processing large volumes of healthcare data, utilizing cloud-native technologies and distributed systems engineering.
Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain backend systems and APIs using Python.
• Architect distributed systems using AWS services like EKS, EMR, S3 and Athena.
• Deploy ML models in engineering pipelines.
• Build and optimize ETL pipelines and secure data-sharing workflows using Spark.
• Deploy and manage containerized services with Docker and Kubernetes, and manage infrastructure-as-code.
• Work with large-scale datasets using advanced SQL for analytics, reporting, and data product features.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and observability in a production environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong backend development experience in Python.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and services (ideally AWS).
• Understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries and working with large-scale datasets (Athena, Redshift, PostgreSQL, etc.).
