Join a team of industry-leading experts operating one of the largest big data analytics systems at Amazon, computing performance measurement for all advertising products at internet scale. Our data must be complete, correct, and fast - it enables advertisers and software systems to optimize campaigns and measure success.
You'll work alongside experts in Big Data and Distributed Systems, designing and building the infrastructure that powers measurement across Amazon Ads. We design highly-scalable applications on AWS (EMR with Spark, DynamoDB, ECS, etc) that process over 50 billion events per day, and we create produce accurate, actionable, and timely measurements

Our charter is to make measurement accurate and consistent across every advertising product.
This is a high-impact role where your work directly shapes how advertisers understand and optimize their campaigns. If you're excited by the challenge of solving complex data problems at massive scale and want to see your work drive real business outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.

Key job responsibilities
- Define and drive the multi-year vision for a big data measurement platform.
- Deliver robust and scalable solutions toward your vision; invent or incorporate new technologies when needed.
- Build, manage, and develop world-class engineers.
- Ensure high-quality design reviews that meet business and architectural goals, and drive critical feedback on architecture and design issues.
- Oversee resource allocation to ensure appropriate business and staff development goals are met.
- Build relationships with software development managers, engineers, product managers, and technical program managers on partner teams to influence the evolution of ads performance measurement.
- Participate in strategic planning to achieve technical and business objectives; interact with customers, other leaders, and your team to construct your plan.
