Job Summary:
The Development & Public Relations Coordinator will provide essential support to the Development and Marketing team, ensuring donor tracking efficiency and growth, news outlet relationship cultivation, press release creation and event success. This role involves organizing documents, conducting deliveries and pick-ups of event materials, assisting with donor thank you efforts, and coordinating news and public relations.ย 
This is a full time, in-person, 12-month hourly position and reports directly to the Director of Development and Marketing.ย  ย 
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Director of Development and Marketing to handle donor and foundation management software such as inputting data and organizing profiles
  • Keep up to date records of grant agreements and sister documents in the W drive
  • Coordinate planning and execution of special events annually with the Director of Development & Marketing and Marketing Specialist by identifying, assembling, and organizing event material as well as event communication
  • Prep donor, foundation, and sponsor thank you letters by addressing and mailing them with 100% accuracy for Director of Development and Marketing or Executive Director to sign
  • Assist with preparation and distribution of mailings
  • Assist with research on grant and foundation request due dates and report to Director of Development and Marketing
  • Create donor email drafts through Network for Good for Director of Marketing and Development Review
  • Assist with design and drafting of McMillen Health Annual Reportย 
  • Coordinate with Director of Development and Marketing to plan annual fundraising campaigns and outreach for new potential donors
  • Collaborate with news outlets, external partners, and community organizations alongside Director of Development and Marketing
  • Draft press releases to send to news contacts and news updates for the McMillen Health Websiteย 
  • Research and keep records of up to date news contacts within Allen and surrounding counties
  • Perform general office duties, such as ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Prioritize and complete multiple responsibilities simultaneously while managing time effectively
