C.A. Hull is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to report to our shop, located in Commerce Township, MI.

General Responsibilities & Requirements:

The CNC Operator is responsible for cutting and processing material by operation of CNC machines such as Saw/Drill Beam Line, Plasma Machine, and Burn Table according to project specifications. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of CNC machine experience.

  • Operate and program the Peddinghaus Advantage 2 Drill Line to cut, punch, and mark steel materials according to specifications
  • Produce quality parts in conformity to manufacturers guidelines and company policy
  • Document material cut lists and job details in Tekla software
  • Review project specifications to determine machine setup procedure, machine sequencing, and dimensions are accurate.
  • Verify measurements of cut material
  • Ensure safe working practices are followed; maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Maintain equipment by greasing and oiling equipment daily
  • Willingness to cross train on other machines and provide assistance with other tasks as assigned
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth workflow and complete project requirements on time
  • Frequently required to stand, use hands to hold hand and power tools, finger/handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, or hear. Work also requires the ability to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs
