Become a Key Player as a Software Developer - JAVA 3

You will deliver scalable, high-performance Java services that support critical data processing and product roadmap goals. You will collaborate closely with product managers, architects, senior developers, and cross-functional teams to design and ship production-ready features. This is an onsite contract role supporting leave-of-absence coverage and short-term project needs in San Jose, CA.

Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact on the Team
  • Design, implement, and own features from product requirements with a performance-first approach
  • Develop and maintain highly-available data streams, RESTful APIs, and data processing pipelines
  • Ensure code quality through unit testing and observability practices using APM and monitoring tools
  • Coordinate with architects and senior developers to deliver scalable solutions and resolve production issues
  • Lead root cause analysis and incident response during customer-impacting outages
  • Evaluate new technologies and propose implementations that meet product and quality goals
  • Translate customer needs into implementation approaches in partnership with product management
Here’s What You’ll Need to Be Successful in This Role
  • 6+ years of Java experience with strong Enterprise Java and frameworks like Spring/Spring MVC/Spring Boot
  • Prior experience building or operating large-scale distributed systems or data processing systems
  • Strong expertise in RESTful web services and API design principles
  • Hands-on experience with APM/monitoring tools (Splunk, New Relic, Kibana, Vivid Cortex)
  • Experience with MySQL and No-SQL databases, and familiarity with data platforms such as Snowflake
  • Experience with data processing technologies (Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, Apache Kafka)
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and microservice architectures
  • Demonstrated ability to model distributed processing solutions and identify effective fixes for issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively across functions
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
