Job Summary:
Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe. They are seeking an experienced Endpoint Software Configuration Management Engineer to deliver engineering, application development, and integration solutions for national intelligence programs.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop and implement integration solutions using Azure and other Microsoft technologies.
• Analyze business requirements, mitigate existing on-premises applications to the Azure cloud and integrate them with other applications services.
• Engage with customers, project managers, and cross-functional development teams to gather and define requirements, ensuring alignment with mission objectives to facilitate the creation of large complex developments.
• Reformulate existing code to ensure adherence to stipulated guidelines and check that code to detect and remedy errors or omissions.
• Design, develop, and optimize applications and systems integration, including processing-intensive analytics, manipulation of large data sets, real-time systems, and business management platforms.
• Streamline and secure applications, storage, and physical servers.
• Provide detailed input into system design, including hardware/software trade-offs and software reuse strategies, optimizing system-level and individual component functionality.
• Develop and execute test cases to ensure the functionality and performance of the system integration.
• Install, troubleshoot, configure and resolve issues with systems performance.
• Analyze business requirements to determine technology needs and stay cognizant of new technology, trends and innovations to continually improve system performance.
• Apply advanced software engineering methodologies to develop, integrate, and support enterprise-level operational environments.
• Develop, implement and maintain processes, procedures, test cases, test results, issue resolutions, performance analysis, and user guidelines/ instructions documentation.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass a Poly clearance.
• Minimum of 8 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree and 6 years of relevant experience or PhD with 3 years relevant experience).
• 4 years experience may be used in lieu of a Degree.
• Proven work experience as a Microsoft Developer or similar, with the relevant Microsoft Certifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft technologies (e.g., .NET, C#, Azure)
• Experience with software development best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred:
• Active TS/SCI with Poly clearances.
• BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platform technologies, preferably AWS.
• Familiarity with big data tools such as Elasticsearch, Splunk, NiFi, Kafka, etc.
• Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies for iterative development.
• Strong familiarity with NoSQL/SQL databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Experience working with REST APIs, including secure transport methodologies.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools like GitLab and Jenkins.
• Expertise in Microservices Architecture, Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Containerization experience using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and AI/ML concepts to support advanced data processing initiatives.
