Job description

Dexian Government Solutions is recruiting for a Software Configuration Specialist to support our proposal effort for the USCG FSC BOD in Chesapeake, VA.

Position Overview:

The Software Configuration Specialist is responsible for maintaining configuration control of system artifacts, managing software releases, tracking changes to applications and environments, supporting testing and deployment activities, and ensuring compliance with FSC configuration management policies and procedures. This role maintains the integrity, stability, and auditability of the FSMS environment while supporting ongoing sustainment and modernization efforts. The position works closely with system architects, Oracle functional teams, developers, testers, database administrators, and Government stakeholders to ensure changes are properly documented, reviewed, tested, approved, and implemented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain configuration control of FSMS system artifacts, baselines, and release packages.
  • Manage software releases and coordinate change control processes.
  • Track and document changes to applications and environments.
  • Support testing and deployment activities in compliance with FSC CM policies.
  • Maintain technical documentation and audit records.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience supporting software configuration management, release management, or application lifecycle management.
  • Experience supporting enterprise software systems or ERP environments.
  • Experience managing software releases, configuration baselines, and change control processes.
  • Experience maintaining technical documentation and audit records.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.

Clearance: Tier 1 Background Investigation or higher & CAC are required to Start.
